Director NAM S&T Centre meets and visits

On his way back from Denizli/Pamukkale, Turkey after organising the international workshop on 'Urbanisation, Land Use, Land Degradation and Environment' Prof. Arun P. Kulshreshtha had a stopover in Ankara where he had very fruitful discussions with Prof. Ömer Anlagan, Vice-President, Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) and hiscolleagues, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nilay Basaran, Head of International Cooperation Department of  TÜBİTAK; Ms. Esin Alten, Head of Bilateral and Multilateral Relations Division; Ms. Betul Macit, SME National Contact Point for EU Framework Programme and responsible for EU programmes and EUREKA; Mr. Muslim Guzel, Expert, Bilateral & Multilateral Relations Division and responsible for India and select Asian Countries; and Ms. Elif Dogan Arslan, Expert, Bilateral & Multilateral Relations Division and responsible for NAM S&T Centre. In Ankara, Prof. Kulshreshtha also visited the Middle East Technical University (ŐDTÜ), where he was an Associate Professor of Physics during 1970-74, and had discussions in the Physics Faculty with Prof. Mustafa Savcı and Dr. Ufuk Dağlı.

Prof. Kulshreshtha also visited Istanbul, where he was hosted by Dr. M. Serdal Sakçalı, Assistant Professor and Chairperson, Biology Department, Fatih University and taken around his labs.
